MALACCA: More than 153,000 vacancies in various sectors have been advertised by employers nationwide through the National Employment Portal, MyfutureJobs which was launched from June 15 to Aug 14.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan (pix) said of the total, 7,638 vacancies were offered through the Penjana Career Carnival organised by the Social Security Organisation (Socso), of which 5,662 were vacancies in Malacca.

“With a very low unemployment rate of 1.1% in Malacca, it is very difficult for employers in the state to get the appropriate choice of candidates.
