KUALA LUMPUR: Following is the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM) Quick Response Team’s rebuttal of more fake news viralled on social media on the Covid-19 situation as detected by various authorities as at 7pm yesterday.
1. Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob refutes claims that airline passengers to be quarantined are transported in Prisons Department trucks and buses.
He said they are ferried in buses provided by the government and the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma).
2. The Penang Health Department denies claims that anyone who shopped at Mydin in Jalan Bahru on March 31, 2020, must undergo Covid-19 screening purportedly because two positive cases quarantined at the Bukit Mertajam Hospital had admitted that they had patronised the hypermarket on that day.
