United’s puppet show

Jose Mourinho has taken a swipe at former club Manchester United and his successor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The “Special One”, who was sacked by United in December, features on many of today’s back pages after giving his verdict on the Old Trafford giants.

Mourinho believes that “nice guy” Solskjaer has become a “puppet on a string” the Daily Star reports. The puppet show theme continues in The Times, Daily Express and the Daily Mirror headlines.

Cox family hits out at City

The Guardian and the Independent report that the family of Sean Cox have been left hurt and disgusted by Man City players and staff who sang an offensive chant during their Premier League title celebrations. The song featured lyrics such as “battered in the streets” and “victims of it all”.

City have denied that the song was relating to Liverpool fan Cox, who was left with life-changing injuries after being attacked by Roma fans outside Anfield before last season’s Champions League semi-final.
