England has made football history by becoming the first nation to provide all four finalists for the two major European club competitions in the same season.

After Tottenham and Liverpool progressed to the final of the Uefa Champions League Chelsea and Arsenal won their semi-final ties to set up an all-Premier League clash in the final of the Europa League.

The London rivals will go head to head in the Europa League final in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Wednesday 29 May.

‘Full house’

Arsenal were 4-2 victors in the second leg in Valencia and they won the semi-final tie 7-3 on aggregate.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the hero with a hat-trick in Spain. The Daily Express pays tribute to the Arsenal striker with its headline “Bam bam Baku” while The Daily Telegraph reports that “Aubameyang does the trick”.

Chelsea, who needed penalties to get past Eintracht Frankfurt, made it four out of four English clubs in the two finals. The Daily Star says it’s a “full house” as the Premier League giants completed a Euro final sweep.

Breakfast is the theme of today’s Daily Mirror back page. “Full English” is the headline and the subhead reads, “England is finally the toast of Europe”.

Under the headline “see you in Baku” the Independent has pictures of Arsenal and Chelsea celebrating their semi-final successes.

The Indy’s main story though is about Tottenham defender Danny Rose. The England left-back says he will “go out with a bang” if the Champions League final is the last game he plays for the club.
